Student Mentoring

Are you looking to gain work experience while earning school credits? We’ve got some opportunities for you!

Our student mentorship program allows you to gain hands-on experience in a startup environment while earning credits for your co-op or internship required for your studies.

Some colleges we have worked with are Greystone College Toronto and Montreal and Vanier College. We are always open to host motivated and creative individuals.

You will be working mostly remotely but closely with us via Zoom and occasionally in person when we have events. Your schedule and hours will be flexible, based on your requirements/availability.

We’ll work with you to create your ideal internship based on your program’s requirements and your personal interests. We’re committed to helping you grow and learn as much as possible - we were once students who had to do internships for school, so we know what it’s like!

About us

My Creative Break is a creative community in which people motivate each other to get creative, innovate and step out of their comfort zones so that they can do things they’ve always wanted to do, whether it’s something big like start a business, or something small like pursue a hobby. We started in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to connect people and get their minds off the things that were stressing them. Now, we connect people through networking events, workshops and corporate team building sessions all over the world. All of our events have a creative twist - they are fun and help people learn new skills and build deeper connections in a non-intimidating way.

What Some of Our Past Interns Say

PXL_20230402_182039332.MP.jpg
Working with Kim and Linda during my co-op term at Greystone College was an absolute pleasure. From the outset, these ladies extended a warm and welcoming environment that was particularly crucial for me as an international student navigating Montreal without many acquaintances. Their inclusive approach made me feel part of the team right from the start. Managing their social media pages and website exposed me to new marketing tools, allowing me to practically apply the theories learned during my Digital Marketing course. Kim and Linda's flexibility, patience, and willingness to share their knowledge were instrumental in my growth. Participating in various networking events facilitated valuable connections. My Creative Break served as the springboard for my marketing career in Canada, and I am now gainfully employed in my field. Without a doubt, this co-op experience played a crucial role in transitioning to this exciting new chapter. Thank you, Kim and Linda, for this amazing opportunity!
