They aim to promote good mental health, a sense of community and happiness.

THE TEAM
Hi! We are Linda and Kim, the co-founders of My Creative Break. Not long ago, our journeys in overcoming stress, mental health and illness prompted us to start a community to motivate people to get in touch with their creative side and do things they love, no matter how busy they are.
We both come from the corporate world; Kim has 8 years experience working in corporate marketing and 5 years of teaching ESL in Europe, Asia and online. Linda is an ACC/ICF certified Life Coach and has 15 years of experience as an accountant. Together, we have over 10 years of experience in team building, improv, animation, public speaking and theatre.
As women of color, our goal is to foster a safe and judgement-free environment. We aim to bring an element of fun, connectivity and creativity to your days, work meetings and events so that your teams feel accomplished, happier and more motivated, which increase productivity and business.

Our Programs

Why we developed these programs
After our personal "creative breaks," we felt happier and refreshed, and wanted to bring this feeling to everyone to ensure good mental health. We saw that the following make people happy:
-
Doing thing they like and making time for themselves
-
Trying new things
-
Feeling supported / understood
-
Feeling accomplished
All the activities in our programs ensure these and are based on our passions - creativity and improv. "Improv," in the sense of our workshops, refers to exercises that require collaboration, spontaneity and risk-taking. For example, challenges that require teams to invent things or solve problems on the spot. Creativity and improv have personally helped us in our lives inside and outside of work. They have enabled us to get out of our comfort zones, develop essential skills like confidence, quick thinking, solving problems spontaneously and being able to adapt to changing environments. They have also helped us complete successful projects.
